Our Treatments
Night Guards
Are you waking up with headaches and jaw pain due to grinding your teeth at night? Grinding your teeth not only interrupts your sleep and causes you pain, but it can also potentially cause serious damage to your teeth including tooth trauma, tooth loss and receding gums.
Protect your teeth with a custom-fitted night guard! Your mouth will serve as a protective barrier between your teeth and prevent friction from causing damage. Wearing a night guard is an effective and comfortable way to protect your teeth from the harmful effects of teeth grinding.
NTI Night Guards
If you’re experiencing chronic headaches and migraines by involuntary night-time teeth clenching, let Denver Dentistry help you with NTI tension suppressing night guards. The NTI night guard is a small, transparent device that is worn over your two front teeth while you sleep to prevent contact between the canines and molars. As opposed to other traditional night guards, the NTI night guard prevents both grinding and headaches/migranes. The NTI night guard is also custom-fitted to ensure a comfortable fit.
Benefits:
- prevents migraine pain
- prevents tension-type headache pain
- can help prevent jaw disorders
- prevents teeth grinding
Oral Medicine
Oral medicine is primarily a non-surgical specialty with procedures limited to diagnostic biopsies, small excisions, therapeutic injections and other minor surgical interventions. In many cases, conditions are managed medically with the use of topical and systemic medications.
Root Canal Therapy
We have all heard the expression “I’d rather have a root canal” and seen the cartoons depicting a dentist shoving an obnoxiously large drill in the mouth of a wide-eyed patient, and have heard root canal horror stories in the movies and on TV. No wonder root canal treatment is the most feared dental procedure, according to the American Association of Endodontists.
Despite the common belief that root canals are excruciatingly painful, in actuality they cause very little pain and discomfort. In fact, root canals actually relieve tooth pain. Denver Dentistry is here to help.
What is a Root Canal?
Each tooth has tissue containing nerve fibers that run through the center of the root of your tooth, which are called root canals. When this tissue dies as a result of a deep cavity or trauma, root canal therapy is needed. Without treatment, pain gradually worsens and the tooth can abscess and cause swelling.
What is Root Canal Therapy?
Root canal therapy is used to remove the dead tissue from the tooth. After numbing the area around the tooth, the Denver Dentistry team will isolate the tooth and sterilize it in order to protect it from bacteria in the mouth. We will then remove the dead tissue, from the canals. Afterwards, we will sterilize the tooth and place a rubber filling material inside of it. The tooth is then built back up and prepared for a crown.
Years ago, completing a root canal used to take several, long visits to the dentist. Today, root canals can often be completed in less than one hour during a single visit, thanks to recent advances in technology and new dental techniques.
Comprehensive Exams
The American Dental Association recommends you see your dentist at least twice a year for a comprehensive dental exam. Maintaining your oral health is crucial in avoiding pain, tooth loss and expensive restorative dentistry procedures. Denver Dentistry will provide a complete checkup to determine any possible problems such as tooth decay, cracks and gum disease. We will also happily replace older, worn-out dental work as well, such as metal fillings and discolored crowns.
With a comprehensive exam every six months, we can manage small dental problems before they grow into larger, more complicated issues. Untreated cavities can grow rapidly and destroy an entire tooth, a cracked tooth may break off in not discovered and corrected, and gum disease can advance if not detected early. Advanced gum disease can cause tooth loss and lead to serious health issues such as?oral cancer, which causes more than 7,500 deaths each year. Catching these problems early is essential?in controlling them.

Dental Crowns
Ideal for protecting a cracked, broken tooth, covering up tooth discolorations and most importantly protecting teeth with large fillings from future breakage, dental crowns at Denver Dentistry can be a great solution for improving your smile.
A crown is a tooth shaped cap that fits over a problem tooth to improve strength, size and appearance.
The crown procedure is relatively simple. First we will anesthetize the problem tooth area. Once completely numb, the tooth is filed down so that the crown fits appropriately. Then, we will take an impression of the tooth to use in the construction of the crown.
The impressions are sent away to a dental laboratory to create your crown.? Meanwhile, we apply a sturdy temporary crown over the problem tooth while your permanent crown is manufactured.? Once your permanent crown is ready, you will come back to Denver Dentistry and the crown will be applied. Now you have a bright, healthy-looking new tooth!
Crown placement can offer several benefits:
- Long term durability
- Protection from further decay, infection and cracking
- Improved chewing and talking
- An improved, natural and healthier smile

Extractions
Sometimes trauma, gum disease, cracked or broken teeth and tooth decay can be too significant, and despite our best efforts to save the tooth, extraction may be the only option.? No one wants to lose a tooth, but here at Denver Dentistry, we will make the process as comfortable and as pain-free as possible.
Just because extraction may be necessary doesn’t mean you have to live with a missing tooth space. We can provide restorative dental options to replace the extracted tooth. These options include Dental Implants, Permanent bridges, and Removable partial dentures. Our team at Denver Dentistry can discuss with you what treatment may be best and what the benefits of each would be. Dental implants are surgically fitted to provide a secure, sturdy fit while keeping the appearance of a real tooth. If a number of your teeth need replaced, we offer standard dentures in traditional and premium options as well.
Digital X-Rays
How do digital x-rays work?
Similar to traditional x-rays, we place a sensor that is about the size and shape of a normal x-ray film inside your mouth. After a quick x-ray, a scanner sends signals to a computer that are translated into electronic pictures of your teeth, supporting bones, and gums.
Why do we use digital x-rays?
- The patient receives approximately 50% less radiation than with traditional x-rays.
- We get larger, more detailed images to help diagnose more accurately.
- We can share the x-ray image with patients on our in room monitor to explain areas of concern or answer questions.
- There is no developing involved, so no harmful chemicals are used.
- The digital x-rays can be enlarged for clarification, and are stored in your file for future reference.
- Immediate results from digital x-rays means less time developing x-rays and more time spent? with the patient.
- Digital x-rays can be submitted along with dental insurance claims to expedite the reimbursement process.
Tooth-Colored Filings
An increasingly popular alternative to silver amalgam fillings is composite tooth-colored fillings. New tooth colored fillings are safe, durable, and are virtually undetectable, making those around you think you’ve always had a flawless set of teeth. Unlike Amalgam fillings, composite fillings are virtually invisible and our team at Denver Dentistry can shade them according to the color of your teeth to create a perfect match, giving you a beautiful, silver-less smile!
Benefits of Composite White Fillings
- Created to match your tooth to ensure a natural look and feel
- Because composite fillings can be created in smaller preparations, less of your tooth structure is lost and less drilling is needed
- The material is made from acrylic and glass particles, containing no mercury or other metals
- Provides support to remaining tooth structure, and insulates against temperature changes
- First, the targeted tooth is drilled to remove decay
- Next, a bonding agent is applied to the drilled tooth
- The composite material is attached and molded to your tooth structure
- The material is hardened by focusing intense light rays on it for about a minute
- The filling is now complete and you have a bright, natural-looking new tooth!
The Filling Process
Your filling brightness can be maintained by simply practicing good oral hygiene and avoiding staining food and drinks such as coffee, soda, tea, etc. For more information on composite white fillings or to schedule an appointment, call Denver Dentistry and let us rejuvenate your smile!
Invisalign
What is Invisalign?
- Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces.
- At Denver Dentistry we use a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets.
How Does Invisalign Work?
- You wear each set of Invisalign aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
- As you replace each Invisalign aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move ? little by little, week by week ? until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist or dentist has prescribed.
- You?ll visit Denver Dentistry about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
- Total Invisalign treatment time averages nine-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
How are Invisalign aligners made?
- The Invisalign aligners are made through a combination of your orthodontist’s or dentist’s expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.
